All of the surveys that we conduct conclude overwhelmingly that Service and Satisfaction are the primary reasons that families choose Fitzgerald. Service and Satisfaction is what we are all about.

As you navigate this website, you will begin to gain a sense of how and why our funeral home is unique. We are proud to be able to say that we are growing every year; our heritage is soon to include four generations of family ownership; and thousands of Rockford area families have called upon our family to help them. That motivates us to be better and more responsive to your needs every year.

  • Staff: Seven licensed professionals and growing every year. They are experienced, and they care. They are supported by eight para-professionals. We employ the largest and finest full-time staff of any funeral home in Northwest Illinois.

  • Facilities: Two of the most modern and convenient in the nation. Pictures can be viewed in the facilities section, but better yet, stop by.

  • On-Site Crematory: For those interested in cremation, it is important to note that we do not use third party providers. We own and operate our own private crematory.  Our families are assured that their loved one never leaves the protective care they have asked us to provide.

  • Personalized Arrangements: No two families are ever alike. Our staff spends the time and effort necessary to plan the service you want for your loved one. This can be as traditional or contemporary and as elaborate or as simple as you want. There’s a reason we serve more families every year...well, lots of reasons.
