Margery Truitt

February 28, 1932 - April 04, 2012

Margery H. Truitt, 80, Rockford, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on February 28, 1932, in Rockford, the daughter of Allen and Margaret (Davis) Bonjour.  She married Jack Truitt in Rockford on February 10, 1951.  He passed away in 2008. Margery was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she was active with Holy Family Women's Guild and was Catholic Woman of the Year in 2001. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, and was an excellent seamstress. She was a gentle, loving person with an ever present warm smile and was happiest when caring for others. Margery loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren meant everything to her.

Survived by her son, John (Dawn) Truitt, her daughters, Kathy (Paul) Caccamo, and Sally (Jon Ryberg) Truitt, all of Rockford; grandchildren, Amy (Andy) Miner, Lisa Truitt, Nicholas (Adrienne) Caccamo, Andrew (Brynn) Caccamo,  Frank Matthew (Katie) Cecchinelli; brothers, Roger (Priscilla) Bonjour and Robert (LouAnn) Bonjour; numerous nieces and nephews.   Predeceased by her parents and husband, Jack.

Funeral of Liturgy of the Word will be at 9:00 am, Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd. No visitation prior to the service. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Rita's Love Fund or the charity of donor's choice.
