Florence Walton

March 15, 1929 - May 15, 2012

Florence J. Walton, 83, Loves Park, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rockford on March 15, 1929; the daughter of John and Julia (Kiesel) Szrajba. Attended Rockford Schools. Florence married Wilford Walton on May 29, 1948. Florence will be truly missed by those who knew her and by those whose lives she touched. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Member of St Bridget Catholic Church.

She is survived by son, Robert (Arthur Zaino); daughters, Darlene Walton and Janet (Leo) Mangiaracina; brother, Ed (Joanne) Schraiber; sisters, Stella Bland and Bernice (Bill) Sides; grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Goodwin and Brent (Becky) Mangiaracina; great- grandchildren, Hunter, Dylan, Colton and Melissa; sisters-in-law, Mary Walton and Velma Bessert; brothers-in-law, Ken (Helen) Walton and Jerry (Donna) Walton and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; husband, Wilford; brother, John Schraiber; father and mother-in-law, Wilford and Theresa Walton; brothers-in-law, Bill Bland and Merle Walton; sister and brother-in-law, Lavon and Harold Erickson.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave. Loves Park. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at church. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
