September 01, 1921 - May 25, 2012
Philip H. Clark, 90, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 1, 1921, in Freeport, the son of Albert and Pearl (Harker) Clark. Phil was proud to serve his country in the Army Military Police Battalion from 1942 to 1944 working at Pearl Harbor. He married the late Margaret Nolan in July, 1944. Phil worked at the Rockford Register Star before starting a career in real estate and eventually owning his own real estate company. Phil married Marian Schwab in 1974 and enjoyed golf, traveling, and spending time with family. Phil was a most caring man putting other's needs before his own. He always had good things to say about everyone and knew how to make you feel you were special.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marian, son, Michael, (Paula Grueder), daughter, Linda, daughter-in-law, Phyllis; grandchildren, Tracy (Bart) Henbest, Lisa, David, and Diane (Samuel) Lundquist, and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by son, Greg; brothers, Harold and Bill, and sister, Gwen Karp.
